given the level of abstraction the train of thought travels along, it might be more appropriate to change the word business to institution.

there's also a very analogous essay to be written that makes the same 2x2 for writers (by modern extension filmmakers / youtubers / etc), since they are a big piece social reality formations

What about companies like AOL back in the 1990s? Or Ford a century before (choosing not make faster horses)? It seems both producers and consumers changed by these.

I wonder if a company can consciously or unconsciously evolve from being one to be another one of the 4 quadrants? OR the type is determined at the starting point without any room to graduate?
